Oz Paragliding & Hang gliding flight school (formerly known as Canungra Sky Sports) is based 50 min outside of Brisbane in the Gold Coast hinterland at the bottom of Mount Tamborine at the Oz Sky Ranch.
We offer all-year-round learn to fly courses, tandem hang gliding and Paragliding flights. Training includes day courses through to full pilot license courses. The only school in the world that can offer Australian, New Zealand and international licenses.
Oz Paragliding & Hang gliding are the only school in Queensland that offer both tandem Hang gliding & Paragliding flights and a full range of pilot courses and have on-site student accommodation.
We teach paragliding and hang gliding to suit your budget and availability from single day/weekend introductory courses through to full pilot license courses. We offer exciting tandems in both disciplines for those who want to taste the amazing sensations of free flight.
Oz Sky Ranch is the only approved aero tow flight park in Australia. We are an approved Sports Aviation Federation of Australia flight school. Chief Flying Instructor Lisa Bradley and her experienced team are passionate about these adventure sports and are enthusiastic about sharing their love of flying with you.
Our company also runs a school and tours as Extreme Air in Queenstown, New Zealand over the summer months.
Our Approach
Lisa and her team recognize and appreciate that every student has a different background, wants and needs. Training is only progressed at an individual’s pace, in incremental steps so they quickly gain mastery and feel they’ve achieved something significant from the very early stages of their course.
We only believe in passing on the best and safest teaching styles to our students. Lisa is constantly striving to learn new teaching techniques and styles, so students can learn easier and safer and be able to achieve their dreams of free-flying.
We are very lucky to be able to operate from the Oz Sky Ranch which is a purpose-built flight park. The training hills and grounds have been sculpted and grassed to make your learning experience enjoyable.

Oz Paragliding & Hang gliding offers a truly unique atmosphere very different from any other flight school. We are not just another paragliding and hang gliding school, but rather a community of paragliding and hang gliding enthusiasts from all over the world.
Oz Paragliding & Hang gliding operates at the lovely Oz Sky Ranch which is the first and only approved paragliding and hang gliding aero tow flight park in Queensland, Australia. Our flying sites can be flown year-round. We have everything in our back yard, private training hill on-site, ground towing operation, lovely green turf to learn on. We are also the only school that can offer aero towing, ground towing and hill launching courses. It is all on-site.

Oz Paragliding & Hang gliding offers Tandem flights and introductory 1 to 9 day courses in paragliding and hang gliding. It is even more fun when shared with family or friends. Now is the time to tick it off the bucket list!
